Microdosing is a practice that involves taking very small doses of psychedelic substances (usually psilocybin) on a regular basis to achieve positive effects on mental health and wellbeing. Microdosing is gaining popularity worldwide due to media coverage and active online communities of microdosers.
Fungal Friend people report that consuming a small dose of psilocybin improves their ability to think creatively, increase productivity and focus, reduce procrastination and distraction, and enhance their overall mood and sense of well-being. In addition, people with depression or other mental illness often find that microdosing alleviates their symptoms.
How to Start Microdosing Mushrooms Safely
An important aspect of our research is to examine the effect of psilocybin on cognitive functioning, including memory, attention and perception. We have conducted a series of experiments using a variety of methods, including a backward masking paradigm and global-local ERP analysis for visual perception.
Although these studies have shown promising results, the current data is not sufficient to determine whether psilocybin microdosing has desirable long-term consequences for human cognition. Further controlled studies with predetermined dosing amounts and fixed schedules are necessary. We also need to investigate if psilocybin is associated with beneficial changes in psychological and emotional states, such as improved motivation and productivity or decreased anxiety.
