Prep and Pass Review
Prep and pass is a common phrase that stands for getting into college and graduating from high school. In the context of high school, the term can also refer to classes that prepare students for college — these are often called “college prep” or “AP” courses. These classes can be public, private, boarding or parochial and the idea is to challenge students without overwhelming them. Colleges like students who earn B’s in college prep classes, as this indicates they haven’t avoided the challenge of honors or AP and may be more likely to succeed on their actual college application.
Prep and Pass: Strategies for RIBO Exam Success
The PASS Program is one of the most traditional approaches to exam prep, offering 5- and 12-week live on-site classes. Students fly in to Illinois and stay at company operated student housing, meeting daily for coursework that includes test taking strategy sessions, heavy content review and tons of drills and practice work. While a bit old school, this approach works extremely well for many students. Several of the PASS Program’s packages also include weekly 1:1 tutoring which makes the experience more personalized.
The PASS Program’s on demand video lessons are very high quality with onscreen text, graphics and hand drawn notes. However, these videos do not appear to have a mobile app, which would make it easier to watch on the go. Besides the on-demand videos, PASS Program provides a ton of practice questions, which are very similar to what you’ll see on game day. These practice questions aren’t quite as plentiful as those offered by SmashUSMLE, but still provide a solid amount of material to get you ready for the exam.
